Insurance cover
RP Alba Ltd maintains insurance cover appropriate to its activities as a specialist radiation protection consultancy. This includes, as applicable:
Professional indemnity insurance
Public liability insurance
Employers’ liability insurance
Insurance cover is maintained at levels appropriate to the nature of services provided and contractual requirements. Evidence of insurance can be provided on request as part of supplier due diligence or procurement processes.
Professional competence and assurance
RP Alba Ltd provides services through an individually certified professional. Professional assurance arrangements include:
Appointment of a Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) holding a current certificate of competence issued under the RPA2000 scheme
Appointment of a Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA) holding a current certificate of competence issued under the RPA2000 scheme
Status as a Chartered Radiation Protection Professional (CRadP)
Ongoing engagement with professional bodies, including membership of the Society for Radiological Protection (SRP) and the Association of University Radiation Protection Officers (AURPO)
This ensures that advice is provided by a suitably qualified and experienced individual in accordance with UK regulatory expectations.
Regulatory alignment
RP Alba Ltd’s professional services are delivered in alignment with applicable UK legislation and guidance, including:
Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 (IRR17)
Radiation (Emergency Preparedness and Public Information) Regulations 2019 (REPPIR)
Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations 2018 (EASR) and equivalent regimes elsewhere in the UK
